Yamaha's new flat plasma. Many exhibitors here have one, and they are a common theme at CES. Yamaha's new flagship receiver the RX-Z1

Yamaha's first "reference" speakers. Pioneer had a functioning IEEE 1394 (Firewire) DVD player. The 1394 was carrying the video and audio.

 

This is the 1394 receiver that Pioneer had connected to the 1394 DVD player.
