I am grateful to the many engineers who specialize in the various types of components discussed in this published work for their advice in the preparation of the original version of the manuscript as well as the updated editions. Additional Note

Although much of the information in this text is based on mathematics, a large part of it represents the opinions of the author, which are the results of experiences with various types of equipment, including listening and viewing tests, over a period of many years.
