Bruce Hall, President of Velodyne Acoustics, stands next to his model 1812 subwoofer. It has an 18" and a 12" driver, as well as several thousand watts of power. It uses the Digital Drive software to add room EQ. Bruce is a big guy, so by comparison, you can imagine how heavy this thing is. It may very well be the most powerful sub on the planet. $15,000.

These are Velodyne's new SubContractor series of subwoofers, including standalone as well as in-walls. All are driven by the switching amplifier Bruce's hand is resting on. The sub drivers in the wall behind the glass are rectangular in shape so they will fit between wall studs with standard depth.
