Outlaw Audio 1070 7.1 A/V Receiver

Part III

Graphs for distortion and frequency response tests are shown below. We now include THD measurements using Dolby Digital input signals, which are decoded by the receiver.

Using DD input signals through a Toslink optical digital input (the next five graphs), and the output signal measured through a pre-out, a 1 kHz signal, recorded at - 10 dB, resulted in 0.07% THD, which is practically right on manufacturer's spec.

IMD peaks were very small through the pre-out, using 1 kHz and 1.5 kHz sine wave inputs signals.

There was a bit more IMD using 5 kHz and 6 kHz input signals, but the peaks were still very low.

Using a 10 kHz sine wave input, THD was above manufacturer's spec, but still low.

The IMD peaks, with 10 kHz and 11 kHz input signals, were again, very low.

Maximum voltage at the pre-out, was 0.76 volts RMS. Not very much, but enough to drive most power amplifiers. I would like to see at least 1 volt RMS output capability though (the Benchmark minimum spec is 1 volt RMS).
