SpectraCal co-founder and CEO Derek Smith explains the company's new Color Cube Calibration system in the Lumagen Radiance video processor and SpectraCal's CalMan 5 software, which uses the same type of lookup tables (LUTs) as those found in high-priced professional processors to adjust the colors produced by video displays. Unlike color-management systems in most consumer products, Color Cube adjusts the three primaries (red, green, blue) and three secondaries (yellow, cyan, magenta) at many different brightness levels, resulting is much more accurate color reproduction.
