Thursday, October 28th, 2010

PETALUMA, Calif. — Oct. 11, 2010 — Furman today announced that the company has partnered with Invision UK, one of the U.K.’s fastest growing trade-only distributors of integrated A/V solutions for residential, commercial, and marine applications. Under the agreement, Invision UK will distribute and provide technical support for Furman’s home theater line of power management products, including the Reference i-Series, Elite i-Series, and compact AC-210 A E power conditioner, throughout the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland.

Located in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, and supported by a state-of-the-art National Logistics Center in the West Midlands, Invision UK offers a unique combination of A/V market knowledge, personal service, and technical expertise. The company’s trade customers sell and install everything from entertainment systems to lighting, digital signage, security, communication, and computer networks.

“We are excited to add Furman’s power management products to our exceptional portfolio of innovative products from world-class manufacturers,” said Steve Beahan, managing director of Invision UK. “For residential installations, the Reference i-Series, Elite i-Series, and AC-210 A E provide maximum protection and performance for premium home cinema systems, assuring equipment longevity and stunning audio and video uncorrupted by the effects of noisy AC power.”

Furman’s Reference i-Series has been recognized in the U.K. with a 2010 SVI Trade Award for “Best Power Conditioner.” Taking home HiFi Plus magazine’s “Product of the Year” award in 2009, the IT-Reference 16E i features Discrete Symmetrically Balanced Power, Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT), SMP/EVS professional-level AC protection, and Power Factor Technology to provide home theater systems with a pristine, balanced, low-impedance power supply to ensure unparalleled performance. Additionally for Invision UK’s customers, the Reference i-Series SPR-16E i voltage regulator provides 230V stable voltage to connected equipment from any input source between 213V and 245V, as well as SMP/EVS protection and LiFT for maximum performance and longevity of A/V equipment.

Furman’s Elite-10E i offers SMP/EVS protection, LiFT, dual pull-out LED lights, and a 10A capacity. The Elite-16 PF E i adds additional filtration bandwidth, a larger 16A capacity, and Furman’s exclusive Power Factor Technology for uncompromised performance from current-hungry components such as power amplifiers and powered subwoofers.

Rounding out the selection, the AC-210 A E power conditioner’s compact, low-profile design makes it ideal for mounting to the back of a flat-screen television or anywhere that discreetly located, remote power protection and purification are needed. The AC-210 A E features SMP, LiFT, and Auto-Reset EVS circuitry to detect dangerous voltage irregularities and safely power down itself and connected equipment in unsafe conditions.

“Our partnership with Invision UK will extend our presence in the European residential market, in addition to providing our current customers with more convenient access to our power and energy management products,” said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax/Furman. “We are also working hard to bring more solutions to Invision UK and its customers, such as our BlueBOLT(R) energy management platform, which provides consumers with a convenient way to track their energy usage and lower their energy bills.”

Audience Now Shipping Upgraded Adept Response Power Conditioners With Improved Components and Performance

Monday, May 17th, 2010

San Marcos, CA, May 3, 2010 – Audience, a company dedicated to designing and manufacturing ultimate-performance audio/video equipment, is currently shipping its upgraded Adept Response aR2-TS, aR6-TS and aR12-TS high-resolution power conditioners. The three models now incorporate Teflon capacitors with mono crystal copper wire leads, and a large ground plane with all wiring secured by heavy-duty welded connectors in a star-ground configuration.

John McDonald, president of Audience pointed out: “The quality of the AC power going into an A/V system is critical. All audio/video electronics, in essence, are simply modulators of the AC power they receive. This means that the performance the components deliver can only be as good as the quality of the AC power.”

The AC coming out of a wall outlet may contain a significant amount of RF noise – which can then make its way into an A/V system and cause problems such as reduced resolution and sonic purity, an audible “haze” in the sound, and degradation of the video image. The Audience Adept Response power conditioners overcome the liabilities of poor AC power through the use of sophisticated filtering circuitry, premium-quality components and optimized component layout.
