DENVER, Colo., September 26, 2013 – Yamaha strengthened its already-extensive sound bar lineup today with two new models, the YSP-1400 and YAS-152, that both feature “all-in-one” designs with dual built-in subwoofers for clean, elegant single-body sound bars without the clutter and complication of separate subwoofers. Both models use Bluetooth® wireless technology not only for music streaming, but also for control via free downloadable apps for Apple® iOS and Android™ devices. The YSP-1400 and YAS-152, which debut at CEDIA 2013 (booth #1131), will be available in October with MSRPs of $449.95 and $349.95, respectively.
The YSP-1400 features Yamaha’s highly acclaimed Digital Sound Projector technology that sets the audio quality benchmark for the sound bar category. It also offers a radically simplified setup process and a price less than half of the company’s current entry-level Digital Sound Projector, making this remarkable audio technology accessible to a much broader audience. In fact, this model will be the lowest priced single-body sound bar to deliver 5.1 discreet channels of surround sound to elevate lifeless flat screen TV audio to exciting new heights for movies, videos, sports or any other programming. The YAS-152, enhanced by Yamaha’s AIR SURROUND XTREME technology for powerful virtual 7.1-channel surround sound, is designed specifically for 55-inch and larger TVs. At 47.25-inches wide, it beautifully complements the look of larger TVs while offering wider driver separation for sound with substantial breadth and superior imaging.

The control app provides quick access to input selections, surround sound modes and various settings on the sound bars. For the YSP-1400, it also provides a way to fine-tune the Digital Sound Projector sound beam settings to maximize performance for a given room size and configuration.
The YSP-1400 and YAS-152 both offer easy one-cable connectivity and a host of useful features, including a TV remote control learning feature, a remote repeater (IR flasher) on the back of the bar for reliable control signal transmission, UniVolume™ for consistent volume levels between programs and ads, and Clear Voice for intelligible dialogue.
