SURGEX ANNOUCES UPS AS FIRST PRODUCT OF NEW ELIMINATOR SERIES FOR THE RESIDENTIAL MARKET

Superior to UPS products, the XU115 provides a premium protection package to ensure systems stay online.

Zebulon, NC – April 13, 2010 – SurgeX, the only manufacturer of AC surge elimination and power conditioning products, has announced the first product in its Eliminator Series, a new line of products for the residential market, the XU115. The XU115, a 1000VA line interactive UPS is the only UPS product in the market that completely eliminates surges and transients that can not only degrade AV system performance but shorten system life as well.

The XU115 includes both common and normal mode Impedance Tolerant® EMI/RFI noise filtering, and provides a sophisticated browser-based interface to manage power settings, diagnostics, and schedule shutdowns and restarts.  Automatic voltage regulation provides a stable AC source during less than optimal power conditions without the constant use of internal batteries – which increases battery life. The 2U rack mount provides proven protection from surges, spikes, blackouts and brownouts – guaranteed.

“With the introduction of the XU115 we are able to give our customers what they have been asking for: a failsafe UPS solution,” said Rick Komendera, Vice President of Sales for SurgeX. “The XU115 is the first in a series of UPS products that SurgeX will deliver in the coming months, and our new residential UPS product line reinforces SurgeX’s leadership role as a full service provider of power management solutions. Our new UPS products are not only more compact than others, they also combine the benefits of battery backup protection with patented Advanced Series Mode® surge elimination technology, to protect AV equipment from AC surges and electrical transients that can disrupt sound quality and digital performance.”

The SentryPlus Power Management and Diagnostic Software allows installers to plan a schedule to shutdown, restart and test UPS and control receptacles, as well as customize programmable actions. With SentryPlus, integrators can set up notifications of user-defined events via pager, email, network broadcast and SNMP, as well as access remote monitoring, control and configuration via a network.

As with all SurgeX products, the XU115 comes equipped with the patented SurgeX Advanced Series Mode® surge elimination technology, which eliminates all surges up to 6,000 volts / 3000 Amps without producing harmful side effects such as ground contamination, common-mode disturbances, or voltage let-through. This technology is far superior to conventional MOV and MOV-Hybrid circuitry, and is completely non-sacrificial, safely eliminating surge energy and providing the best residential power protection on the market.

The XU115 is A-1-1 Certified, comes with an industry leading 10 year parts and labor warranty as well as a 10 year true connected equipment warranty.   The XU115 is proudly made by hand in the US and is currently shipping.
