RTcom USA Introduces Industry's First Tri-Interface DVI and HDMI Wall Plates

SPARTA, N.J. ? Sept. 3, 2009 ? RTcom USA, Inc., a provider of digital connectivity solutions for professional and consumer A/V systems, today announced new DVI and HDMI wall plates that are the industry’s first to offer three interfaces in one unit. As future-proof solutions for conference rooms, the wall plates are designed to accommodate today’s VGA laptops, as well as tomorrow’s HDMI and DVI interfaces.

RTcom’s new wall plates are designed to enable convenient transfer of DVI, HDMI, analog stereo audio, analog VGA, and RS-232C signals from laptops to connected equipment in a conference room without any degradation of the signal quality. The units provide a clean, professional look for any installation, including home theaters and school rooms, and can accommodate any size project with long runs up to 164 feet.

“We are very pleased to introduce the new D301 and H301 wall plates, which provide three interfaces in one unit to transfer signals cost-effectively in any A/V installation requiring a clean, sleek look. Particularly in conference rooms, they provide a future-proof solution as laptop technology changes,” said Andy Fliss, general manager of RTcom USA. “Today, most laptops use a VGA interface, but HDMI- and DVI-capable laptops will soon become more common. With our tri-interface solutions, installers can save their clients the hassle and expense of installing new wall plates when that time comes, and they will remain backwards-compatible with older laptops.”
