Paradigm Introduces Millenia CT 2 To Its Shift Series

New onboard interface, Bluetooth and aptX streaming technologies, redesigned remote and Dolby Digital take it up another notch in quality and convenience

Denver, CO – CEDIA EXPO 2013 – Sept. 26th – 28th – Booth #SR-1 – Paradigm Electronics Inc. an international leader in speaker design and manufacturing has released the second version of its popular Millenia CT, part of Paradigm’s SHIFT Series. Millenia CT 2 continues as a superb candidate in connectivity for popular networked audio devices such as Apple TV or Airport Express and the two-speaker setup continues to deliver excellent audio performance, equal to or better than the industry’s most expensive soundbars. As an upgrade to version one and in response to customer feedback for more flexibility, the system now hosts an onboard interface to ehance functionality. Its controls are discrete, slightly recessed to allow for stacking of the Millenia CT 2’s control module and Apple TV without interference. The remote control unit was completely redesigned and is now easier to use and with heightened aesthetic appeal. The addition of Dolby Digital to the system improves compatibility with televisions that do not feature LPCM audio modes. Bluetooth and APTX streaming technologies as well as AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) are also included, enabling remote control from Bluetooth sources directly from the system. The renowned high-performance sound of Paradigm in an upgraded compact plug’n play audio setup with built-in amplifier.

These CT speakers were inspired by Paradigm’s award-winning Paradigm Reference MilleniaOne speakers, which won, among other awards, Sound & Vision’s Product of the Year. The demand for this little system with its uncomplicated setup shows no sign of slowing.

In the box are two high-performance speakers with adjustable table stands, subwoofer with feet and removable floor cradle, infrared remote control with 2 ‘AAA’ batteries, controller box for instant connection to your audio/video equipment and the 6 cables needed for hook-up (power, optical, 3.5-mm, controller box and two speaker cables). A true plug’n play option that sets up in minutes.

Millenia CT 2 is a multimedia system and can be paired with a computer or with other networked audio devices to provide sound in secondary listening areas. With its speakers and powered sub there’s no need for a receiver, which makes it a cost effective sound solution. Pricing for the system is competitive with soundbar/subwoofer packages.

Millenia CT 2 speakers feature 1? S-PAL™ satin-anodized pure-aluminum domes and 4? S-PAL™ satin-anodized pure-aluminum bass/midrange cones. Wall-mounting brackets are available for speakers as optional system accessories. The low-profile subwoofer features an 8? reinforced polymer composite cone with 1-1/2-inch hightemperature voice coil. The sub can be positioned vertically using the included cradle or horizontally on supplied feet.

The Millenia CT 2 will be available from select Paradigm Dealers throughout North America and also direct from the Paradigm SHIFT website: www.paradigm.com/shift. The system will be available in a Black Gloss finish at an estimated MAP of $849 (USD). Estimated availability is Q1 2014.
