Marvell 88DE2710 Video Processor Powers Sony’s High-End BDP-S5000ES Blu-Ray Disc Player
First adoption of Marvell’s 88DE2710 video format converter by Sony
Santa Clara, California ─ (June 16, 2009) ─ Marvell (NASDAQ: MRVL), a leader in storage, communications, and consumer silicon solutions, today announced that its Marvell® 88DE2710 video processor is a featured component of Sony’s high-end BDP-S5000ES Blu-ray player, thus furthering the integration of Marvell technology into leading consumer electronics devices. Sony’s latest Blu-ray player is designed to offer a consistent, high-quality 1080p image, vivid true-to-life pictures, and an immersive home theater experience.

The Sony Blu-ray disc player received HiVi’s Grand Prix 2009 Video Disc Player Award and AV Review’s Visual Grand Prix 2009 Gold Award. This award winning Blu-ray player is available now worldwide.
