New Furman Products to Be Demonstrated at ISE 2009:

Furman provides comprehensive worldwide power management solutions for Pro A/V and residential home cinema applications. Featured at this year’s show are Furman’s new Prestige Series P-1400 AR E voltage regulator, new PL-8C E, PL-PLUS C E, and PL-PRO DMC E Classic Series power conditioners/light modules for A/V professionals, and the critically acclaimed Reference/Elite i-Series home cinema power management solutions.

Prestige Series P-1400 AR E Voltage Regulator
At ISE 2009, Furman will unveil the new Prestige Series P-1400 AR E export voltage regulator for A/V professionals. The P-1400 AR E utilizes Furman’s exclusive True RMS voltage regulation technology to provide stable voltage to connected equipment, along with Furman’s trusted Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP), automatic Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) and Linear Filtering (LiFT) protection and filtering technologies.

The P-1400 AR E offers stable voltage output (selectable between 220V and 240V) with a 6-amp capacity. Furman’s True RMS Auto Regulation Technology utilizes an ultra-low noise, microprocessor-controlled eight-tap toroidal autoformer, assuring quiet operation for critical listening and recording applications with minimal leakage of stray magnetic fields. The P-1400 AR E ensures maximum connected equipment longevity and performance, particularly for A/V installations that experience voltage fluctuations, or mobile A/V racks which may be subjected to generator power or unstable voltage at different locations. The P-1400 AR E features a switchable front-panel digital voltmeter/ammeter with a color-coded voltage range indicator for comprehensive power monitoring.

The P-1400 AR E offers an attractive new industrial design and full feature set, including a front-panel convenience outlet and USB charger for personal media devices, cell phones, or to power a gooseneck lamp. It features 10 rear-panel IEC outlets and includes the robust protection and filtration that make Furman the most trusted name in the industry, with LiFT to reduce AC line noise, SMP for the highest level of surge protection available, and automatic EVS to protect connected equipment from dangerous extreme over/under voltage conditions. The unit’s Shucko power cord is detachable and Furman offers a variety of power cords to ensure compatibility with regional power standards.

The Prestige Series P-1400 AR E Export Voltage Regulator will be available in March 2009.

The New Classic Export Series
At this year’s show, Furman will also debut the Classic Export Series power management/light modules. The new export models provide increased protection and filtration to 220V-240V countries. The Classic Export models LiFT, SMP, automatic EVS, and “Smooth Track” LED retractable lights. The series includes two 10-amp models, the PL-8C E and the PL-PLUS C E, and one 16-amp model, the PL-PRO DMC E.

All Classic Export models provide 10 filtered and protected rear-panel IEC outlets with a front-panel convenience outlet and “Protection OK” indicator light. The PL-PLUS C E adds a segmented LED voltmeter that monitors and displays incoming line voltage, while the PL-PRO DMC E features a large digital voltmeter/ammeter with a discrete dimmer button that displays line voltage and true RMS current draw with a color-coded voltage indicator. In addition, the PL-PRO DMC E provides a front-panel charger for small USB-powered electronics or to power a USB lamp. At a capacity of 16 amps, the PL-PRO DMC E also features a high-inrush-capable magnetic circuit breaker for added protection. All Furman Classic Export models include a 2.5-meter removable IEC female-to-Schuko-male power cord. Adapter cords, available from Furman, offer regional plug options.

The Classic Export Series is available now.
