JACKSONVILLE, FL, Dec. 14, 2009 — Excitement is building for AUDIO EXPO OF NORTH AMERICA (AXPONA), www.axpona.com a major new consumer forum for showcasing the best and latest products and technologies in high-end audiophile listening equipment and music reproduction. Exhibits featuring hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of the world’s finest audio components, plus a broad program of audio technology demonstrations, seminars and live-music performances promise a unique, highly successful inaugural event March 5-7, 2010, at the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk Hotel in Jacksonville, Florida.
AXPONA, sponsored by Stereophile magazine, is the first consumer audio show on the East Coast in several years. Attendees will have a rare opportunity to mingle freely with industry leaders, manufacturers and experts from around the world, while enjoying live demonstrations of equipment and software. “We’re delighted to see such a high level of acceptance and enthusiasm from the high-end segment of the audio industry, and expect attendees to be excited by their discoveries at the show,” said AXPONA President Andrew Spaulding.
AXPONA-sponsor Stereophile magazine editor John Atkinson will host a broad program of seminars throughout the show. In addition, Richard Bird, president of Rives Audio, an award-winning acoustical design specialist, will lead a seminar on acoustic enhancements, revealing the best ways to optimize a listening environment, and Dr. Mark Waldrep, founder and president of legendary AIX Records, will demonstrate recording techniques and lead a seminar on high-definition audio. On the music side, Ukrainian classical violinist Mikhail Levitsky will perform in the Wyndham’s atrium during the day. Other musicians are being scheduled for evening performances.
