New Projector Hinge Mechanism Discretely Stores Projector in the Wall

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011

Ideal for when ceiling mounting is not possible or the ceiling height is too high; the Projector Hinge Mechanism from Future Automation offers an in-wall solution.

Kimpton, Hertfordshire, UK – October 6, 2011 – Future Automation, a market leader in flat screen mounting solutions and high-tech automated lifts, is proud to announce the availability of its Projector Hinge Mechanism, offering integrators a superior option when concealing projection systems in the home. Installed within the wall, this unique product is an ideal solution for homes where there is inefficient space in a ceiling for a projector, or in a home with high ceilings where the projector needs to be dropped a substantial amount. Also suited for smaller spaces such as yachts or condominiums, the Projector Hinge opens a world of opportunities when installing a projection system.

Future Automation has developed the Projector Hinge Mechanism to provide a unique solution to a growing problem in projection installations. As projection technology continues to evolve, more and more homeowners are opting to include projection in other areas of the home and integrators are faced with the challenges of installing projectors into rooms with more architectural features. The Projector Hinge allows the projector to be installed inside the wall, combating space issues in homes with high ceilings or limited ceiling space.  When installed in the wall, the Projector Hinge simply folds downward from the wall, into a level position, and just like that is ready for your viewing pleasure.

“More and more projectors are being installed into spaces other than a dedicated theater, but because these rooms weren’t built with a projector specifically in mind, properly concealing it while still maintaining the design integrity of the room becomes difficult,” said Ollie French VP of Future Automation. “With the Projector Hinge product, we’re opening up more possibilities for integrators to install projection systems with a product that won’t interfere with their homes’ design.”

Superbly depth efficient and functional, the Projector Hinge comes in a variety of standard sizes to fit the vast majority of home theater projectors, and is the perfect way to transform any living space into a home theater. An aluminum mounting grid ensures the projector won’t move when transitioning from the wall to the “in use” position, guaranteeing the projector will remain at your perfect viewing preference day in and day out. The Projector Hinge is complete with an enclosed backbox, creating a clean, finished look while the projector is in use and a full internal cable management system ensures cables are never seen. When in the closed position, the Projector Hinge can be customized to suite each homeowners personal décor, offering a discrete look and finish. Like all Future Automation products, the Projector Hinge is able to work with any third party home automation system.

NuForce Introduces Audiophile-Grade Digital Audio Conversion and Headphone Amp for iPad®, iPhone® and iPod Touch®

Thursday, September 8th, 2011

iDo extracts audio data in its original digital form (in USB Host mode) from Apple mobile digital devices, delivering bit-perfect, low-jitter, audiophile-quality music file playback

Milpitas, Calif. – EMBARGO until September 8, 2011 @ 9:00 AM EST – NuForce, Inc., a leader in professional and consumer audio solutions, announces today its Icon iDo digital audio converter (DAC) and headphone amplifier for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch devices.  The Icon iDo delivers audiophile-grade CD quality sound to digital music files stored on Apple® mobile digital devices. iDo is ideal for music enthusiasts and musicians alike who primarily listen to—and have their digital music libraries stored on—these devices.

“We’re thrilled to bring our knowledge and understanding of the high-end audio market direct to Apple enthusiasts,” said Jason Lim the CEO of NuForce.  “Apple products are becoming the hub of a person’s entire music and audio collection, so improving the audio quality produced by these devices is key. The Icon iDo delivers on that at very affordable price point.”

A fast and easy connection for audiophile-grade sound.

Using the Icon iDo is simple.  Users can connect any Apple mobile device to the Icon iDo with the Apple® approved and included 30-pin sync/charging cable, attach the power supply, and then plug the Icon iDo into a home stereo system using RCA cables or a single coaxial.  Users can also plug in headphones directly into the Icon iDo for personal high quality sound playback in a manner the artist intended it to be heard.

How iDo makes music stored on Apple devices sound even better?

Apple uses its own audio codec, Apple Lossless Encoder (ALE), to compress and store music files on its devices in original CD quality without loss. However, even ALE files only sound as good as the default DAC (digital-to-analog converter) found within the mobile digital device. Icon iDo bypasses the built-in DAC and extracts the audio data stored on the device in its original digital form in USB Host Mode.  It then converts the high-quality files for bit-perfect and low-jitter music playback.

A portable power station for the ultimate headphone listening experience.

Icon iDo also offers a built-in headphone amplifier capable of powering power-hungry headsets, giving users a total audio experience.  By properly powering headphones, Icon iDo enhances the auditory performance of the headphones because optimal amperage is being delivered to them, allowing for greater audio clarity.
