Denon DVD-5900 DVD Player Update CDs

March 28, 2004

Denon has released several update CDs for their DVD-5900 DVD Player. These updates fix numerous issues that have arisen since the 5900 hit the shelves.

One of these is the activation of the DVI-D output port, but there are several other items, including the Macroblocking and Navigation Speed problems, DVI Output On Constant, DVD-Audio Mute Fix, and some others.

Denon will post instructions on how to obtain all the update CDs shortly.

To perform the updates, follow the instructions that come with the CDs, which basically is to insert the CD and wait for certain messages to appear on the display, remove the disc, power off, power on, and you are done.

We installed the update CDs here in our lab, and it all went without a hitch.
