Canton InCeiling 50 and 70 Speakers

April 7, 2004

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (4/7/04) -- Canton has introduced two new loudspeaker models designed for in-ceiling installation. The Canton InCeiling 50 an InCeiling 70 are two-way free-air designs with pivoting 1-inch aluminum dome tweeters and 5-1/4- and 6-1/2-inch polypropylene woofers respectively. The pivoting tweeter allows the speaker’s sound field to be adjusted to suit the acoustics of the room.

Canton’s InCeiling speakers are designed for essentially invisible installation, and with paintable frames and grilles that can be modified for any decor. They are also designed to be simple to install, and they have gold-plated clamping-speaker terminals for a very solid connection that won’t work loose with age.

The InCeiling 50 has an overall diameter of 8 inches and a mounting depth of 3-1/2 inches. It has a frequency range from 50 to 30,000 Hz, and is rated for amplifiers up to 100 watts. The InCeiling 50 is currently available at a suggested retail price of $400 per pair.

The InCeiling 70 has an overall diameter of 9-5/8 inches and a mounting depth of 4-1/4 inches. It has a frequency range from 45 to 30,000 Hz, and is rated for amplifiers up to 100 watts. The InCeiling 70 is currently available at a suggested retail price of $500 per pair.

Canton is the largest manufacturer and best-selling brand of loudspeakers in Germany.
