Commentary
The languages chosen for the film were Aramaic and Latin, for realism I suppose, but reading subtitles is certainly a distraction.
Technical
The image is very sharp and there is nice surround envelopment.
Extras
There are two versions of the movie, one with all the violence and a second with the explicit bloodiness edited out. There is also the Director's Commentary, The Making of, A Historical and Cultural Retrospective of the Crucifixion, Deleted Scenes, and other things.
