M&K Sound introduces its new TRIPOLE SURROUND MATRIX™ technology. This technology allows the reproduction of 5 channels of dynamic spectacular sound, including the two back channels, from just one small cabinet which can be easily mounted (such as with an Omnimount ™) on the wall above or below a Plasma TV, or sitting on top of a tube or big screen TV.

This incredible speaker has nothing in common with other products that combine psychoacoustic trickery and cheap speakers in a plastic cabinet to produce a pseudo-surround that can be heard only in a single “sweet-spot.” In fact, the MP-4512 produces five distinct channels of sound from five distinct speakers, creating real surround sound that can be heard through virtually the entire room.
Developed for the M&K Professional line of loudspeakers for use in post production studios, this high-performance speaker also performs superbly in the home environment.
Thanks to its pro heritage, this is a purebred M&K speaker. The MP-4512 incorporates M&K's ultra-high-performance high-output Danish built woofer and ferrofluid cooled tweeter drivers for each of the left, center, and right front channels, plus two high-performance wide-range drivers to produce the Tripole™ left and right surround channels.
With its lacquer painted MDF wood cabinet, M&K precision SUPER-PHASE-FOCUSED™ professional crossovers, and special high power handling heat sink cooled tweeter drivers, this speaker produces full Dolby sound levels with an incredibly large sonic image that invokes the quality of M&K’s professional studio monitors and belies its 4-1/2" H x 18-1/4" W x 5-1/2 D compact size. Simply amazing performance!
Combine the MP-4512 with any one of the legendary M&K powered subwoofers, and you’ll have a complete, full-bandwidth 5.1 channel surround system that delivers tremendous dynamic excitement and a powerful low end – in just two cabinets!
Subwoofer Recommendations: K-9, K-10, V-76, V-1250, V-850, MX-700, MX-125, MX-150THX. Due to the surprisingly high output capability of the MP-4512, especially when using higher crossover frequencies like 150Hz or 200 Hz, the bigger the sub, the more spectacular the system will sound!

Receivers: Models with selectable crossover frequency with 50 watts or more per channel up to 250 watts per channel.
Preferred Crossover Frequency: Minimum 80Hz , preferred is from 120Hz to 200Hz. Many receivers now have selectable 120Hz, 150Hz, or 200Hz available in their setup menu.
