SIM2, world leaders in quality Home Theatre Projection technology announce the newest addition to their world acclaimed line of Grand Cinema DLP™ projectors – the HT300 LINK. Aside from offering the most advanced Progressive Scan Home Theatre projection video technology currently available, this stylish projector supports an elegant design making it the focal point of any décor.

The Grand Cinema HT300 LINK delivers unprecedented colour fidelity, detail and picture quality unlike any other single-chip DLP™ projector. The new HT300 LINK employs an external input/image processing box that is connected via optical link to the projector, thereby solving the problem of having long runs of high definition compatible cables linking video sources to the projector. Now with the addition of the remote advanced Digital Optical Image Processor (DOIP™) and the HT300 LINK, this issue no longer exists.

SIM2’s HT300 LINK together with the company’s HT500 LINK and RTX models are currently the only products of their type in the world to have an Optical Fibre Connection, capable of transmitting data over a distance up to 500 metres. To satisfy 90% of installation requirements it comes complete with a 20-metre length of optical fibre connection.

To cater to the increasing amount of video sources equipped with digital outputs, the HT300 LINK’s external image processor features both HDMI™ – HDCD and DVI inputs. This combination of advanced technologies guarantees perfect picture reproduction without any loss of information or interference in the signal. This technologically advanced Home Theatre projector can also accommodate future software upgrades.

The software and light engine in the HT300 LINK is based on Texas Instruments’ new HD2+ chipset, one of the most advanced video chipsets available resulting in High Definition (16:9) widescreen (native) 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. In addition, this projector will accommodate 4:3 and Letterbox aspect ratios and also features a high quality, high resolution long-throw lens with motorised zoom (1.8 to 2.4:1 for 16:9 format) and focus. The HT300 LINK also boasts a lamp life of up to 8000 hours, one the highest in the industry for a home projector of this type.

The new HD2+ chipset, along with a further improved 6-segment silent colour wheel and sealed light engine, allows the SIM2 HT300 LINK to obtain a true contrast ratio greater than 2800:1. SIM2 have further improved the black level by 28% (over the previous HT300) and added a brightness ‘Burst Function’ that increases luminance levels up to 15%. Keystone adjustment allows for ± 8° lens shift, while a digital Keystone adjustment facilitates ± 12% vertical and ± 19% horizontal movement, making the HT300 ideal for ceiling and rear of room placement.

This new model offers compatibility with all video sources, picture standards (PAL, NTSC, SECAM) and computer graphics up to 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution (compressed) and comes complete with 20 metres (digital) optical fibre connection. The new HT300 LINK employs second generation Directional Correlational Deinterlacer (DCDi™), powered by Faroudja. This advanced Progressive Scan technology applies video enhancement and motion adaptive deinterlacing to prevent the introduction of motion artefacts and jagged edges from video signals that originate from video cameras. The DCDi™ also features patented 3/2 pull-down with advanced edit detection for exact reconstruction of the original film frame. This new projector also boasts a backlight remote control for easy access to product commands and OSD
functions in dark environments.
