InterVideo Adds Spatializer UltraPC HD Enhanced Audio Suite to WinDVD
FREMONT, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Software Creates Virtual Surround Sound and Sub-woofer Experience from Just Two Ordinary Speakers or Headphones, Clarifies Dialog/Music
InterVideo(R), Inc. (NASDAQ:IVII) announced today that the OEM editions of WinDVD(R) now offer the Spatializer UltraPC HD(TM) enhanced audio suite from Spatializer(R) Audio Laboratories Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SPAZ - News). WinDVD is the world's most popular software solution for watching DVDs on a PC. One of the keys to WinDVD's success is InterVideo's commitment to offer audio and video playback technologies that enhance the user's entertainment experience. The Spatializer UltraPC HD suite includes five enhanced audio technologies that have been optimized to overcome the audio delivery challenges inherent with the small speakers that are typically used when space and costs are an issue.
"We are very pleased to team up with InterVideo to offer our advanced audio technologies to InterVideo's current and future OEM customers," stated Spatializer chairman and CEO Henry R. Mandell. "The combination of Spatializer and InterVideo technologies delivers a powerful solution to ease the transition of the PC from a business tool to a comprehensive entertainment platform. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship."
"PCs typically have small speakers that simply don't have the power to deliver high-quality sound," said Steve Ro, president and CEO of InterVideo. "By adding the Spatializer UltraPC HD suite to WinDVD, OEMs can provide the home theater sound their customers want without the added expense of upgrading the speakers. It's an improvement that everyone notices, so it's a good way to differentiate your products," he noted.
The Spatializer UltraPC HD suite includes:
Spatializer N-2-2 ULTRA(TM) is designed to enhance Dolby(R) Digital and Dolby Pro-Logic(TM) sound tracks and delivers multi-channel surround sound from just two speakers. Spatializer N-2-2 ULTRA is also capable of virtualizing stereo sound from CDs and other two-channel sources to a fuller and richer sound.
Spatializer N-2-2 ULTRA TV(TM) provides virtual surround sound technology for DVD playback through television speakers.
Spatializer Natural Headphone(TM) converts 5.1 channel surround sound into two channels while providing the listener with a natural sounding personal surround sound experience, optimized for movies. Spatializer PCE(TM) (Phase Corrected Equalization) polishes and more clearly defines both dialogue and music through any ordinary set of loudspeakers or headphones for sparkling clarity.
Spatializer VirtuaLFE(TM) creates the perception of subwoofer frequencies without going below the minimum frequency response of the loudspeakers or headphones. The result is a more dramatic listening experience, even with low-cost or "frequency response challenged" speakers or headphones.
