M. Doug Parse to lead the NetStreams team of innovative, cutting-edge engineers in the development of leading networked audio/video solutions
Austin, TX - May 14, 2004 - NetStreams the leader in IP-based Networked Audio/Video distribution and control solutions, announces M. Douglas Parse as its new Vice President of Engineering. Parse, who has more than 16 years experience in technical leadership and management, joins NetStreams from Intrinsity, Inc., an innovative company he helped found and lead.
"Doug Parse brings with him a strong background in research and technology leadership that will augment NetStream's already strong, innovative engineering team," said Herman Cardenas, chief executive officer of NetStreams.
"I am looking forward to helping NetStreams develop and launch new, state-of-the-art products that will keep us positioned at the top of the market," Parse said.
Parse will bring to NetStreams an outstanding record of product delivery.
"Doug is known for his high quality innovations and his ability to take a concept and turn it into consumer-ready products in just 19 months," Cardenas went on to say. "While at Intrinsity his team of 70 engineers, under his direction, filed more than 80 patents and delivered those products in less than 2 years. We're looking forward to Doug's contributions within our organization."
Parse is no stranger to starting research teams. Besides co-founding Intrinsity, Inc. more than six years ago, he also built and led a team of development engineers at the Somerset design center for Motorola. Parse has a reputation of team building and of creating work environments that foster success.
A graduate of the University of Texas, Austin, Parse holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and has completed Master's Degree coursework in that field.
