New Display Magic HDMI Cables

BetterCables.com®, a leading online manufacturer/retailer of high-performance audio and video cables, today announced the release of their new Display Magic™ cables incorporating HDMI technology. The Display Magic™ HDMI cable incorporates HDMI technology, while the Display Magic™ HDMI/DVI cables provide bi-directional compatibility between DVI and HDMI technologies. The cables are available now and may be purchased directly from BetterCables.com® (http://www.bettercables.com) or via an Authorized BetterCables® dealer.

"HDMI is a great new standard that will simplify the hook-up process while maintaining an all-digital transfer of audio and video signals," said Brad Marcus, founder of BetterCables.com®. "We pride ourselves on being first to market to support emerging technologies and are excited about making these cables available now."

HDMI is the first industry-supported, uncompressed audio/video interface. HDMI provides an interface between any HDMI-enabled audio/video source, such as a set-top box, DVD player, and A/V receiver and an audio and/or video monitor or projector. HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable.

It transmits all ATSC HDTV standards and supports 8-channel digital audio, with bandwidth to spare to accommodate future enhancements and requirements.

New DVI Switchers

The ex-tend-it HDTV Switcher enables effortless HDTV source switching using a single high definition display. A simple and reliable solution, the HDTV Switcher links any two HDTV sources (DVD players and satellite set tops) to one HDTV display. It completely eliminates the need to disconnect then reconnect multiple HDTV sources, saving time by providing a fundamental tool that brings it all together behind the scenes. When all three devices (the display plus the two sources) are connected to the HDTV Switcher and powered on, you simply select which source you want to view on the display using the Switcher, the IR remote that comes with it, or any universal remote you program to work with the Switcher. Both 2-In 1-out and 4-In 1-out switchers are available.
