I have the 3910. Is this worth the big $$ to upgrade.

Maybe, maybe not. It would depend on whether you want to be on the bleeding edge. The noise reduction features are amazing and almost worth the price of admission alone in my opinion. Build quality is astounding as well. I think the price reflects the technology more then anything.
