Did you ever start a Samsung BD??? The noise these machines make... And the picture... Not going to start about that... The Yam is superiour to the samsungs (1000,1200,1500) by MILES... Sony's 550 and pana's 55 also do well on picture, but as a CD player, the Yamaha kicks ANY blu-ray player at the time.
