Proper description and I agree. It is nice to see the best of the best and although out of reach for most, it's still nice to dream! It's also nice to see reviews of the best affordable equipment, which this site does in my opinion without any bias! - Jim

Stop complaining

First, this is in fact an investment. You are investing your money for a return of great surround sound. This was a proper choice of words, even if it is not in terms you normally would ascribe to the word invest.

Second, why do you read this website dedicated to high quality audio/video equipment and complain of price? Do you read an exotic car website and complain that a Ferrari or Lamborghini reviewed cost hundreds of thousands of dollars? This is a high fidelity site, reviewing the best of the best. The best equipment cost money, if you are looking for reviews of equipment 1/10th the price, I suggest you look for just that.

Anyways, I digress. Excellent review, looking forward to more exceptional surround sound packages being reviewed. - J.P.

The S8v2 is sold individually at $3,899. So, a pair would be $7798. - JEJ

Very nice system. Do you sell a pair of S8v2 by itself and if so, how much? - tom

For the filthy rich

"sells them at a very competitive price"

LMAO How many can afford paying so much for speakers? It seems you guys only cater to the extreme wealthy! There are simply to many reviews on products out of reach for 99% of the planet's population!

1/10th the price and it's on my level. - DKDiveDude

"investment opportunity"????

Very poor choice of words. This "stuff" or most any other "stuff" in this hobby is not going to increase in value. Ever.

I invest to make money and I spend for enjoyment.

Why not call it like it is? An "opportunity" to upgrade {perhaps incrementally) your sound for a cool $16,000? - Bob
