One Name for All Media Extender

It does not matter what it is called except for when your out trying to buy one. Media Extenders!

$300/$200/$100 or even more.

Just as long as it plays the movie on the TV.

VceNetFlix software can now stream Netflix On Demand Movies to the TV via any media extender. So if you have netflix you can watch any "Watch Now" Movies. Yes Netflix is trying to sell a $100 Netflix Extender...(Not Needed.)

I do like the Idea of Any Movie Any Time For a Flat fee Like Netflix. - Robert

the advantage only popcorn hour is more than the SATA drive connectivity option.

1) you get digital optical output
2) power on/off switch
3) better build case with aluminum material

of course the set back is there is no SD (standard definition) output - sancez

it has more than IDE

besides the SATA capability, the HDX also includes a digital optical output, VGA HD-15 output and a power on-off switch and better material used (aluminum)which the popcorn hour lacks. It is definitive an improvement over the 1st generation networked media tank available.

Sounds like a Popcorn Hour A-100

The HDX900 sounds like a PCH A-100 with a SATA drive capability instead of IDE at a HUGH price increase over it. For that price, it definitely should have been HDMI 1.3 with the capability of adding on an external Blu-Ray drive in my opinion. The A-100 is only $179 Shipping and does everything except use an IDE drive. - Jim D
