currently waiting to see about the new Logitech Squeezebox Duo- can marry that with a handheld control for control will post photos if interested as progress is made.

Despite holes in wall for Netstreams system that I never installed because of tech difficulties -I think that the logitech handheld system fits more with the way that my SO and I live- I think that she will appreciate not having to get up and change channels or songs -and the idea that the control is with her at her workbench or office desk - nanotheater@gmail.com

The Airport express, coupled with iTunes, is a really handy way to provide player connectivity via the network. I'll eventually have an airport express as an input option, as it's a great, easy way for guests to play music from any location on a given system, without needing to drag out adapter cables, or what not. I really do wish that Apple would come out with simple drivers that would let your PC use it as just a basic sound card, or make it compatible with other players (iTunes doesn't support wma files directly, and I use Windows Media player for reasons of preference), but that's not what apple is about. If you do it their way, it usually works pretty well. If you want to go outside what they chose to implement, well, that's not their deal. I'm actually surprised that nobody's picked up on that level of functionality and offered something that allows that from other players. If something's out there, and anybody knows about it, we'd love to hear it! - colin
